So, I’m sure most of you had seen that I didn’t really care for my !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . I decided a few weeks back that life’s too short to drive something I hate, and with insurance renewal soon approaching, I decided to take advantage of my resale value.
The results...
The Deet’s:
2011 Audi S4 Prestige
Phantom Black Pearl Effect
6-Speed Manual
Black/Red Leather w/ wood trim
Adaptive Cruise Control
Bang & Olufson Sound
Tech Package (BLIS, Nav)
Automatic Rear Sunshade
Limited Slip Dif
Audi Select Drive
Basically I think it has every feature that was offered. It’s a 2-Owner (most of it’s life in Oregon, the last two years in Denver. It’s got about 77K on it, passed a PPI easily, and already has a clearbra and window tint.
I. Couldn’t. Be. Happier.
I have to give a shoutout to the dealer I bought it from...I’ve never had such a great experience buying a car in my life. Sill-TerHar Motors in Broomfield, Colorado took the car to an independent mechanic for a PPI for me, took my Jeep for a fair trade, and got me a really good financing rate for a car with 77K on it.
- I got a car I actually like
- I reduced my monthly payment by $62 (my Jeep wasn’t that high in the first place)
- I’m getting money back from the DMV for my old plates (~$500)
It’s been a good week...

Holy hell, that’s definitely a step up from the Wrangler!
And thank you for buying a manual. It seems like too many people around here talk about wanting a manual but never actually buy a car with one haha
Enjoy the new car!

Ummm.... So I’ll be coming to Colorado.... And your car may not be where you parked it last.

Great color combo! Awesome car!
Seems like a much more reasonable replacement for a caR than a Wrangler!

Outstanding.

The DSG is apparently better in most aspects...I just can’t though.

I wanted the V8, but the S4 makes so much more sense. 10 MPG Better, 4-Doors, a functional sunroof, cheaper insurance, newer...the list goes on.

I totally get that. I love that leather though!

Awesome Audi! Too bad you didn't enjoy your Wrangler but hey.....a Wrangler is NOT for everyone. Impractical. Loud. Cold. Slow. Ruff ride. Shitty fuel economy, etc etc

Absolutely perfect spec, very nice.

Awesome! These are such great cars - sneaky fast, I think they underrate the power. I've only driven the DSG, but it was a blast. Enjoy!

Supercharger whine...

Well that’s a heck of a change. Beautiful car though! Congrats! Just out of curiosity, since Jeeps are known to retain their value, how much did it depreciate during your short time with it?

Does it have any form of warranty? I looked at used luxury cars but cpo cars were hard to find and usually out of my price range

That is gorgeous! That interior. Congrats.

I was quoted $29,000 trade from Audi of Boulder...but that entailed the trade for an A3. I settled at this dealer for an 28K trade. I paid I think $30,700 out the door for the Wrangler. So basically I lost about $3,000 after 3,800 miles and 5 months. Not too bad and way better than if I owned any other car.

Thanks! I wasn’t too fond of the red leather at first but it’s growing on me.

Heh red leather is like, my favourite thing on it. Right after the B&O stereo.

What a stunner. I’m very jealous.
Was the addition of the back doors more or less expensive than respraying it black?

As another former Wrangler owner (at one time I did use it for off-roading quite a lot) that’s a nice swap for an on road vehicle. I’ve personally got a “thing” against VW and Audi after having a shitty experience with my Wife’s 1.8T Golf. It had plenty of engine and transmission problems (same set as an Audi TT) and dealers in Canada are really hard to push warranty problems through.
BUT, that being said I am tempted to look at an A3 or S3... Just SO nicely proportioned.

Nope! The Ford Dealer I got it from offered me a Ford Warranty (Ford dealers service only) for roughly $7,000 48 Month/4Years.

Really nice specs you lucked out. My last year as an Audi salesman I got to give a couple a workout on the scenic route. The B&O sound system was the hardest sell until happy owners got to hear their fav piece of music.
And mashing the pedal for the first time...like recklessly stomping on it, have you tried that yet? Gad I want one again.
